Cableless Wi-Fi Set Up From a Mac - TR4527

Description

Learn how to set up your PIXMA TR4527 printer on a wireless network (LAN) for use with your Mac.

You can also follow the steps below to set up your PIXMA TR4527 on a Wi-Finetwork so you can easily manage it from a Mac computer.

There are two parts to the setup process:

1. Start the setup process on your printer
2. Download and run the setup file on your computer.

1. Start the setup process on your printer

1. Make sure the printer is turned ON.

2. Press and hold the Menu / Wireless connect button for 3 seconds.

   

3. When the following screen displays, printer preparation is complete.

   

2. Download and run the setup file on your computer

1. Get the setup file.

2. Read the information, taking note of the messages that may appear during setup, then select Download.

    If you see a message like this:

   

   Select OK. Then, control-click on the setup file, select Open, then select Open in the error message window. This will allow the setup program to proceed.

   
    

3. Select Next on the first screen.

   

1. Enter your computer User Name and Password, then select Install Helper.

   

1. Select Start Setup.

   

1. Read the network security notice, and select Next.

   

1. Select the appropriate region, and select Next.

   

1. Read the license agreement and select Yes to continue. If you select No, the installation won't continue.

   

1. Select Agree or Do not agree to the information request.

   

1. Select Yes to confirm the connection method.

   

1. Setup continues. Wait for it to finish.

   

1. If the following screen appears, select Allow.

   

1. Network Connection is complete. Select Next.

   

1. Select Add Printer.

   

1. On the Add screen, select the TS series with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column. Select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint in the Use: drop-down, then select Add.

   

1. Select Next to continue.

   

1. Select Start to run a test print, or Next to continue.

   

1. Setup is complete. You are almost finished. Select Next.

   

1. Select any optional software you want to add (click the checkbox to select, click again to clear), then select Next.

    Any additional software you select will download and install. This may take a few minutes.

   

1. Select Next.

   

1. Select Skip or Register Now.

   

1. Select a desktop shortcut preference for the online manual, then select Next.

   

1. Select Exit. Installation is complete. You can now print wirelessly.
